The World Wide Web can is certainly a treasure trove of information, with a large number of websites amongst the billions in existence providing knowledge regarding anything and everything.

As such, it’s near impossible to imagine a world without Wikipedia, Google Search and more.

But as incredible the web is, it’s also home to some totally absurd, pointless and at times, even funny websites.

While some of these parody actual websites, others serve no purpose at all.

Now that you’re undoubtedly curious, here’s a list of 10 such useless websites.

While they don’t have any useful information, you can be pretty sure they’ll help you kill some spare time or even have a good laugh.
Weird or Confusing
Weird or Confusing

Just because you shop a lot on Amazon, don’t think you know about everything that the world’s largest online marketplace has on offer.

You can buy some pretty silly stuff on Amazon and ‘Weird or Confusing’ helps you find it. Just go to the website, click the big ‘Please’ button following the ‘Sell me something weird or confusing’ and have fun as you’re redirected to Amazon listings of some of the weirdest products that you can actually buy. Each time you click, you get a different product listing.
Can’t Not Tweet This
Can’t Not Tweet This

Just to be clear, the above title isn’t incorrect. This website’s name is actually ‘Can’t Not Tweet This’.

If you’re a compulsive Twitter user who likes to tweet just about everything, try this website.

Having nothing but a flashing ‘Can’t Not Tweet This’ text and an un-clickable tweet button that follows your mouse pointer, this is website you wouldn’t want to tweet about.
Most Exclusive Website
Most Exclusive Website

Everyone loves to get some sort of ‘elite’ treatment every once in a while.

That’s what the ‘Most Exclusive Website’ gives you. The hilarious website seemingly allows only one visitor to access it, every sixty seconds.

You actually have to type in your name to get a ticket and wait your turn so that you can accomplish the feat of being the exclusive visitor of this website.

And to help you kill the time while you wait, there is a feed of equally pointless YouTube videos that you can watch.
Passive Aggressive Passwords
Passive Aggressive Passwords

The importance of having a secure password can’t be stressed enough. And ‘Passive Aggressive Passwords’ website tells you if the password you wish to have is a secure one, albeit in an unusual way.

Just type in a password and watch the website churn out the most amusing responses ever.

When we tested a simple password on it, the reply was ‘Toddlers eat passwords like yours for breakfast’.
Wikipeetia
Wikipeetia

Wikipedia is probably one of the most amazing websites out there, providing free access to just about everything under the sun.

And ‘Wikipeetia’ (again, that’s how it’s spelled) parodies Wikipedia by having articles that are intentionally misspelled.

This one is sure to annoy people who just can’t stand bad spellings or typos.

Uncyclopedia

Uncyclopedia is probably the most humorous parody of Wikipedia that you’ll ever come across.

Calling itself the ‘Mother Ship of amateur comedy writing,’ Uncyclopedia mimics Wikipedia down to the whole layout. It even uses the same backend (wiki) software.

It’s just that the articles on it are factually wrong and intentionally rib-tickling. The website’s entry for Politics defines the same as ‘The art of being wrong.

The name is based on the words Poly and Ticks, with Poly meaning many, and Ticks meaning blood sucking parasites.’ Can’t say we disagree with that, though.
Patience is a virtue
Patience is a virtue

Indeed, there’s no bigger virtue than patience.

And this website thinks that best way to test one’s patience is to make them wait while a website loads on an awfully slow internet connection. That’s because this website displays nothing but an animated loading cursor (along with some funny text) that never ends.

Give this a try and see how long you can go without smashing your computer to bits.
One Million LOLs
One Million LOLs

Of the whole dictionary of internet slangs that everyone loves to use, LOL (Laughing out loud) is probably the most popular.

And this website is just that. It’s nothing but a page with LOL written on it one million times. Go ahead and count it.
Ducks are the best
Ducks are the best

Remember DuckTales? That classic animated TV series starring Uncle Scrooge and his three grandnephews that we grew up watching.

Ducks are the best brings back those memories, showing just a blank webpage that flashes with different colours and DuckTales’ theme playing in the background.

Try moving your mouse, and the page will be filled with countless digital ducks.
Eel slap
Eel slap

There are times when you are so angry you just want to slap someone. Eel slap lets you take that anger out.

The website shows a guy, who’s slapped on the cheek with an electric eel as you move the cursor.

The whole thing can be done in slow motion and can even be reversed.
