Users of Apple Watch on various social media websites have reported that the device loses connection and shows inaccurate heart rate results if worn on tattooed wrists.

Tests conducted by iMore showed Apple Watch can run into significant problems if warn by inked customers. The tests produced heart rate misreading on solid black and red colours.

Tattoos with lighter colours seemed to give Apple Watch less trouble, only leading to heart rate readings that were slightly off the mark.
