Trump is an incompetent, conspiracy theory-pushing liar who puts Americans' lives at risk

Trump and the GOP's flirtations with the far-right, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory movement QAnon have emboldened its adherents, who are now causing chaos in the response to the West Coast wildfires. Woodward claims he sat on Trump coronavirus remarks for 6 months in order to do more fact checking

In public, Trump was downplaying the threat of the coronavirus, even suggesting it was a new "hoax" from Democrats to harm his presidency. In a conversation with Woodward, however, Trump contradicted his public remarks, noting that the virus is far more dangerous than the seasonal flu.
